Sissy Spacek Plastic Surgery Before and After Nose Job, Rhinoplasty

Legendary Plastic Surgery Mystery: Sissy Spacek’s Nose Job
Sissy Spacek first rose to stardom in the 1970s, and has wowed audiences ever since then. The redhead actress won the Oscar for her turn in 1980′s hit, Coal Miner’s Daughter and has been nominated for her work in other roles as well. But through it all, she has had a very unusual nose, with a very narrow bridge and a very defined tip. Her nose has appeared in most of her films, but long time fans recall a time when it was less defined and slightly larger, leading to speculation that the Carrie star has most certainly undergone a nose job.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Consider the mystery over. It is obvious that Sissy Spacek did have a Nose Job or Rhinoplasty cosmetic surgery.  The tip of her nose is very narrow and much smaller in size. Her new nose could have only been created by cosmetic surgery.”
Other than a nose job in her youth, Sissy appears to be aging fairly naturally, frequently appearing without makeup and giving a glimpse of her wrinkles, especially crow’s feet around the eyes.

We don't see anything wrong about the nose of the actress Sissy Spacek in the first picture, it was wider than the one she shows in the other pictures but we think it was proportional to her face.  There are many rumors saying that she got plastic surgery (rhinoplasty or nose job) sometime early in her career.

Many have said that the change was too obvious and also that in the time when she had surgery rhinoplasty was not advanced like now days.

After that change her nose looks smaller in general, her bridge and tip look half the size than before giving a triangular shape to the nose.

It was interesting for us when we found some comments about her name, she said: "My cousin, Rip Torn, persuaded me not to change my name. You shouldn't change what you are in the search for success."

For some people it could look like she changed her self with the change of her nose, in our personal opinion plastic surgery doesn't change who you really are, we think is a way to improve the image that you could have about yourself, the only problem is when people abuse of surgery or have some disorders that may affect their self image.
Body Dysmorphic Disorder is a preoccupation with an imagined physical defect in appearance or a vastly exaggerated concern about a minimal defect. The preoccupation must cause significant impairment in the individual’s life. So, when you see someone having too much plastic surgery it could be a BDD problem.

There's no way that Sissy Spacek didn't have a nose job. She clearly had plastic surgery when she was really young because her nose looks the same when she was 18. That lends an argument to the side that she didn't have a nose job, but there's no way that's the case. Sissy Spacek's nose is way to upturned and thin to be natural. No human on earth was ever born with a nose that looked like that. She would have had her nose job in the late 1960's because she was born in 1949. But if Marilyn Monroe could have a nose job in the mid 1940's and look as good as she then why couldn't Sissy Spacek?

Oscar's Legendary Leading Ladies
Sissy Spacek says she's careful in the messages she sends her daughters, who want to follow in their mom's acting footsteps. "It's hard being a woman in today's world," Sissy says. "We're always judging ourselves, and I'm pretty careful about that because I have two beautiful daughters."

Sissy Spacek says she mostly wants her daughters to follow their bliss. "I raised them in Virginia. Then, of course, both of them moved to L.A.," she says. "But they took their Virginia values with them."
